Keeping in mind the importance of origin stories within the Marvel universe, here's a quick primer on Peter Parker's alter ego: Spider-Man was the brain-child of writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, first appearing in the pages of a Marvel Comics title in 1962 (in "Amazing Fantasy" no. 15). Though the team of Lee and Ditko had by now already encountered success with some of their pen and ink creations, their idea to develop a super-hero beset by everyday problems would eventually propel the character to flagship status in the Marvel landscape. Spidey's latest honor is his transformation into a 1000% BE@RBRICK, featuring an old-school design that Stan the Man is sure to co-sign. It's available now at select Medicom Toy retailers.
