It would have been strange to use the words “hybrid” and “supercar” in the same sentence a few years ago. Based in California, Kepler Motors set out to create the unthinkable, the Motion hybrid supercar. Powered by a Ford EcoBoost twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine for the rear wheels and an electric motor for the front wheels, this innovative all-wheel-drive vehicle produces a combined horsepower of 800. Statistics are not too shabby either, with 60 mph reached in 2.5 seconds and a top speed clocked at over 200 mph. Carbon fiber composite materials construct the monocoque chassis and body, a fantastic combination for delivering durability, strength, and lightness.
