Audi sportscar from the front, wagon in the back, the 2014 RS6 Avant is certainly an awesome machine to behold even outside of the stationwagon niche. Although the 2014 RS6 isn’t scheduled to debut officially for a few more months, images have spread across the internet, revealing new styling and leaving Audi fans waiting anxiously for more. Outside, a new front grille with aluminum trim, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a tailgate spoiler at the back represents the usual aggressive, but sporty styling from Audi. Inside, luxury takes over, with leather sport seats, carbon fiber trim, and a MMI navigation and infotainment system as well as optional heads-up display system, a 15-speaker audio system, and internet access. Under the hood, a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 supplies 560 HP to the quattro all-wheel drive system wheels via an eight-speed trans. The RS6 also features a cylinder-on-demand system which deactivates four-cylinders when they aren’t needed, allowing the model to average 24 mpg. You can expect to see the Avant next summer, with pricing beginning at around £77,000.
