Joining a legion of special sneaker and product releases, now 30 lucky Chinese auto enthusiasts will get a chance to own a new 2013 Audi R8 China Limited Edition in honor of the upcoming New Year celebration. Since its first release back in 2006, the R8 has been hard enough to snag even in its home country of Germany, but now - with a handful of subtle design tweaks and a new paint job - including a Nordic gold exterior paint job, 19" "Y" spoke wheels, a new matte black front grille, and an ample amount of lightweight carbon fiber accents, this V10 is going to sell out before production even completes. Inside, the China edition also sees an aluminium gear knob marked with the car's place in the limited run, Alcantara sport seats, "shark skin" leather knee pads, and Cool Nordic Gold Trim. Under the hood, Audi went with the 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces 525 HP through an R-tronic trans on an Quattro all-wheel drive system. Pricing for one of these is expected to begin at 2,628,000 Yuan ($422,820 USD or €317,435), so start saving up now. That is, assuming you're on the right side of the Pacific.
