At a young age, BMX rider Nigel Sylvester looked to legends such as Edwin De La Rosa, Dave Mirra, Matt Hoffman and others for inspiration. But to truly perfect his style of riding, he needed to look no further than the driveway of his grandmother's home, where Sylvester learned to ride at the age of five. Be it a park bench, a fire hydrant, red light at a traffic stop, or a speeding yellow cab, Sylvester utilized all that New York City has to offer, the good, the bad, and the ugly, to hone his skill sets.
To celebrate its longtime partnership with the rider hailed from Queens, Casio G-Shock will be introducing its second collaboration model with Nigel Sylvester, the Casio G-Shock GD-101NS-1JR Watch. With some semblances to Sylvester's first G-Shock collab, the GD-100NS-7, the new timepiece also include a tonal black "safari" finish on its band. In all black with a reverse white LED display, several silver accents around the round readouts refer to wheels on a BMX bike.
Part of Casio G-Shock February 2013 Collection, the Nigel Sylvester x Casio G-Shock GD-101NS-1JR Watch will be available through select retail locations very soon.
