2013 Shelby 1000 - Most Powerful Ford Mustang To Date

If you thought 1,000 horses pounding their way through to the wheels of last year's ShelbyMustang 1000 was ridiculous, well prepare to drop your jaw for 200 more with this 2013 version. Because 1,000-hp was so last year and Shelby American has never shied away from going big (see: 2013 Shelby Raptor - 575 Horsepower Off-Road Behemoth), drivers can now pay a cool $154,995 to have the premier auto-tuner put one of these specially-tuned GT500's in their driveway. Effectively doubling the output of the stock 5.8-liter, 600+-hp engine, Shelby engineers  effectively rebuild the engine from the block, strengthen the internal chassis, drop in an adjustable suspension, slip in a performance cooling package, and secure a hefty set of brakes needed to reign in this beast. Debuting at the New York Auto Show, 100 future owners can contact Shelby now to get the build started.
