Germany's Porsche has just pulled the wrapper off of their new 2014 911 RSR, which is slated to be driven by two teams in upcoming the World Endurance Championship. Because speed is a given for anything wearing the Porsche shield, this new 911 can instead by characterized by its lightweight design and improved aerodynamics thanks to a series of new carbon fiber components, polycarbonate windows, a lithium-ion battery, and a new wishbone front suspension. Under the hood, the new 2014 911 packs the same 460 HP 4.0-liter six-banger boxer engine, but it is instead controlled with a new paddle shifter-operated lightweight six-speed sequential transmission and fed through a new air intake system. Keep an eye out for this pair of 2014 Porsche 911 RSR's during the first race, scheduled for April 14 in London's 6 Hours of Silverstone.
