Known first as the Nike Wimbledon back in 1975, the Nike Tennis Classic went through a myriad of improvements through the years, including a new cupsole construction during the 1980s and 2005's introduction of the SB Tennis Classic with its Zoom Air insert. Along the way, the design also garnered a fanbase that includes tennis greats like Billie Jean King, Jimmy Connors, the mercurial John McEnroe, and influencers such as Hiroshi Fujiwara. Joining that venerable list this week is Supreme and its very own version of the Nike Tennis Classic.
Designed by Supreme and engineered by Nike, the Supreme x Nike SB Tennis Classic comes with the Nike Zoom Air technology and features a premium leather upper. Each retails at around $110 USD and comes in four very distinctive colorways - Volt, Black, Ink, and White, all made exclusively for Supreme. The collaboration will be available this coming Thursday, April 25th, through Supreme's storefronts at New York, Los Angeles, London, and its online store. The quartet will also be available at Supreme locations across Japan starting this Saturday, April 27th.
