You may be most accustomed to seeing San Francisco-based artist Aaron De La Cruz's work on a much larger scale, but LOOK/SEE has snagged the man's signature style for their latest installment of sunglasses from their Artist Series. Using intricate, laser-etching, De La Cruz's pattern is infused into the handmade graphite-colored acetate frames, which when combined with the tinted polarized lenses, result in a crisp pair of specs that will have you feeling like all eyes are on you. But, there's more than just style behind these glasses; two blue dots located on the inside of the inside temple ends represents Aaron's new twin sons, both who share the middle name Azul, which is stamped on the nose bridge. The release date also is no coincidence, with May 3 (or 5/3) being a tribute to his father, who was born in '53. With only 100 pairs produced and proceeds benefiting the Urban Arts Partnership founded to help future artists, you'll have to head to LOOK/SEE with some urgency to make sure you get a pair.
