Nearly two years after unveiling its custom design options for the Leica D-LUX 5 digital camera, ColorWare introduces the new customization process for the Leica D-LUX 6. Thanks to its revamped website, potential customers can now alter all aspects of the D-LUX 6's appearance. Divided in ten parts, from lens face, thumb dial, to aperture ring, hot shoe insert, and even the lens cap itself, each comes with an option of either a solid color (from a selection of 21) or a pearlized one (from a selection of 25). For the final phase, which is ColorWare's proprietary X2 liquid plastic coating to protect both the camera and the new paint work, you can chose from either a matte or glossy finish. With both custom colors and camera combined, the package retails for $1200 USD and is available now through ColorWare's online store.
