A long held partnership continued over the weekend as luxury timepiece maker HUBLOT previewed the Big Bang Ferrari California 30 Giappone Watch. Along with the Ferrari California 30 Giappone in matching white and red accents, the dual unveiling celebrate the 25th anniversary of Ferrari's first win at Japan Grand Prix.
Featuring Ferrari's "Prancing Horse" along the 9 o'clock position and a yellow sub-dial for date at the 3 o'clock space, artisans at HUBLOT fashioned all details of the watch to bear Ferrari's design elements, including the speedometer-like hands and indexes. Inspired by Ferrari's seat belt, HUBLOT created a quick-change system with carbon insert for the option of either a white or red Schedoni leather band.
Thanks to its very own HUB 1241 UNICO movement, the Big Bang Ferrari California 30 Giappone Watch has only 330 components, which minimizes malfunctions. There is no jumper in the chronograph movement either and watch's hour counter is driven by a barrel instead, all to ensure reliability for years to come. Still, the 72-hour power reserve and complex mechanism allows a frequency of 4hz/28,800 vibrations per hour, more accurate than many of its counterparts on the market today.
With a limited run of 100 units, the Japan-exclusive Ferrari x HUBLOT Big Bang Ferrari California 30 Giappone Watch is now available through select Ferrari and HUBLOT boutiques across Japan.
