It has been almost nine years since he released a feature animation, and his latest project looks to be intriguing as always. In the upcoming animation, Short Peace, Otomo reached out to his peers in the industry - Shuhei Morita, Hiroaki Ando, Hajime Katoki, and Kouji Morimoto - to produce a four-part short story omnibus. Slated to launch on Saturday, July 20 in Japan, subtitled versions should follow suit after the Japanese launch.
