With festival season in full swing, New York City prepares for some of the biggest names in music to grace Governor's Ball's stages on Randall's Island between June 7th and 9th. Since launching on Governor's Island in 2011, the festival has outgrown it's original home and evolved into the NY metro area's marquee summer music event, drawing headliners the likes of Kanye West, Kings of Leon, and Guns and Roses. While the Ball's top bill is set to bring in fans by the droves, there is no shortage of quality musicians playing the sunlight hours of the festival. Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Holy Ghost!, Local Natives and the XX will all be drawing from their massive fan bases to energize the small island floating in the East River.
While General Admission has been sold out for a while, the 3-day VIP ticket package is still available for $470. Concertgoers that splurge on the last remaining packages will be rewarded with VIP viewing areas, exclusive bars, and most importantly air conditioning.
