Nissan Unveils Electric ZEOD Race Car

Just judging by its looks, when Nissan says that their new ZEOD Race Car prototype is the fastest electric racing car on the streets, everyone should be inclined to believe them. Using the same lithium-ion battery technology as the Nissan Leaf we've all seen buzzing around town, the ZEOD RC is capable of reaching speeds in excess of 186-mph thanks to seemingly higher capacity cells and an incredibly aerodynamic body shape. The ZEOD RC - which stands for Zero Emissions On Demand - is undergoing its fair share of testing ahead of its official debut at next year's edition of the famous Le Mans before (hopefully) sending a few performance electric cars our way in the coming years. Check out more official images from Nissan's introduction of the all-electric racer after the click.
