Mishka's Fall 2013 Collection Lookbook video is dance-heavy and full of eclectic prints that scream color with unbridled energy. Fusing together clothing with movement, the short film promotes the Brooklyn Street Dance style called "flexing" and warns viewers not to try the moves at home without proper health insurance.
Dancers Jay Donn and Vibez are shot performing their skills to Kahn's "Fierce (TCJ 160 Edit)" song in military-inspired shirts, leopard print covered tops, greenish-blue flannels, and even a tie-dye designed tee. And while the underlying concept of the apparel channels the ostentatious graphics of the late 80s/early 90s, the creative direction is wholly 2013 as the background chosen for each scene change matches with the apparel in some way (very Liu Bolin-esque).
The lookbook definitely encourages dancing in its funkiest form and tells viewers that if they would like to learn more about the movement, they should check out the upcoming documentary entitled "Flex is Kings".
