Sony doesn't want both budding photographers and pros on the go to be limited by the built-in cameras on their phones, introducing their revolutionary Clip-on Full Frame Lenses for smartphones. While there may be similar products out there of various sizes and builds, Sony's are essentially cameras within themselves, which attach to your phone via clip, clamp, or magnetic assembly and contain all of the components you need to snap an amazing shot. Via a wireless link to your phone, you can use your smartphone display as the viewfinder as well as for the camera controls and for sharing and editing. There will be two models, the DSC-QX10 and the DSC-QX100, each with full frame sensors, resolution up to 20.2MP, Bionz processors, Wifi/NFC connections, and SD card slots. They are also iOS and Android compatible and come with a rechargeable battery pack. Prices and availability on these new lenses is not yet known, but the idea that they exist will have plenty of photogs clamoring to cop once they do. See more preview shots after the click.
