Attendees at this week's Frankfurt Motor Show have gotten a good look at the replacement for the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class, and early reports have indicated that the new S-Class Coupe is a worthy successor to the outgoing model. Under the hood is a 4.6-liter Biturbo V8 producing 449 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, powering an aggressive and sleek silhouette fronted by a prominent grille and elongated headlights. The arched roofline and pillarless side windows highlight typical rear-wheel drive proportions, completed by accentuated wheel arches surrounding 21-inch wheels. Inside the cabin, flowing lines highlight a clean design, appointed with white aluminum ventilation nozzles, aluminum door panels and calfskin covered seats and instrument panel. Additional features include dual 12.3-inch displays, as well as an Intelligent Drive system using forward-facing cameras to prevent collisions, while also detecting surface driving conditions to adjust the Magic Body Control suspension.
