Most of us know Peter Saville as the artist responsible for the iconic cover for art for "Unknown Pleasures," the 1979 album from legendary post-punk band Joy Division. Saville has now been enlisted by Kanye West to create a visual identity for the rapper's personal brand. He told Dezeen, "We're looking at ways of writing 'Kanye West.' Savilled added that the partnership would "very casual," suggesting an open-ended collaboration as opposed to a specifically commissioned design. One clue as to what we can expect: the two discussed Adolphe Mouron Cassandre's 1961 logo for Yves Saint Laurent, with Yeezy expressing a desire for his own "YSL."
