Ahead of the start of a new NBA season -- and Derrick Rose's eagerly anticipated return to the game -- adidas has unveiled the fourth signature shoe of the celebrated Chicago Bulls point guard. Working closely with Derrick, the adidas Basketball design team developed a shoe that showcases the two sides of the former league MVP: the heel, separated by a bold black line, denotes Derrick's attacking style of play, while the front portion represents his confident yet humble demeanor, as well as his understated off-court style. Performance technologies include Crazyquick outsole traction for maximum control and flex; SPRINTWEB for superior breathability; and SPRINTFRAME for stability and motion control. Carryover features from previous models take the form of an internal mesh bootie, 3D molded EVA around the collar and an arch support built from a model of Derrick's foot.
The shoes are set to release with a full line of matching apparel and accessories, highlighted by a full-zip hoodie, sweatpants, down jacket, crewneck sweatshirt and snapback cap, as well as on-court essentials like shorts and socks. The D Rose Backpack in black and vivid red round out the collection.
The adidas D Rose 4 will debut October 10th in two colorways -- a gray/black home version and an all-black road version -- with six additional colorways to follow. (Pre-order the shoes here.) Check out detailed looks below, as well as the "All In for Chicago" video celebrating Derrick's return.
