During the past decade, there have been numerous innovations made to footwear that have made being a “sneaker head” a legit thing, but even with those cool ideas, nothing tops this one: Using Nike sneakers as a canvas for creativity, sportswear giant Nike and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Doernbecher Children’s Hospital are proud to celebrate the 10th year of the Doernbecher Freestyle Program, a unique collaboration that has empowered 58 young patients through design and raised more than $6 million for the hospital to help finance up-and-coming solutions for mentally and physically ill children.

In honor of the program's 10th year, Nike Global Product Creative Director and long-time Doernbecher Freestyle designer Mark Smith has created the Nike Dunk High 10th Anniversary Collection, celebrating all of the patients involved with the program over the last 10 years by inscribing their names in glow-in-the-dark elements, thus symbolizing the children’s strength and spirit. This limited edition set will be sold via Nike’s online shop beginning on Saturday, November 9th, 2013.

Release Date: November 9th, 2013 (Saturday)
