With everyone still reeling from the tragic death of Paul Walker, those involved in the Fast and Furious film franchise put together an emotional video montage as a tribute to the late actor. Along with fellow actors Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Sung Kang, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the tribute span across the five Fast and Furious films Walker was in, from the 2001 original which helped to solidify him as Hollywood A-Lister, to this year's Fast & Furious 6. The heartbreaking clip also quoted Vin Diesel's character Dominic Toretto
"The most important thing in life will always be the people in this room, right here, right now. Salute, mi familia."
Set to the song "Coming Home" by Diddy and Skylar Grey, the video thanks the "outpouring of love and goodwill from his many fans and friends" and asked contributions to go to Walker's charity Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) in his memory. As for the Fast and Furious franchise's future, Universal Pictures issued a short statement yesterday.
"Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers. At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise. We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our dear friend Paul Walker."
