To jump start the new year, Infiniti is looking to differentiate itself as the luxury performance vehicle maker with its Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept. Scheduled to officially debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit later this month, the Eau Rouge Concept is a high performance variant of the popular Infiniti Q50 sports sedan. Though likely to feature the same 328 horsepower, 3.7-liter V6 engine, designers from Infiniti drastically improved on the original power-to-weight ratio with the amble usage of carbon fiber. With lessons learned from its Formula One World Champions Infiniti Red Bull Racing Team, designers added carbon fiber splitter at the front, diffuser at the back, side skirts, roof and side mirror casings. In fact, with the exceptions of the roof and doors profiles, Infiniti altered every parts of the Q50 to meet intended goal. Along with more detailed information, the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept will make its official debut on January 13.
