Nissan has unveiled the new face of the London's taxicabs, designed for the British capital at Nissan's European design center in Paddington. Debuted first in August 2012, it went through an extensive re-design phase following feedback from the London Mayor's office, Transport for London and other key organizations, this Nissan NV200 is now instantly recognizable as one of the city's iconic black cabs. The new taxi is scheduled to launch December 2014 with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine connected to an automatic gearbox, followed by a zero-emission electric version in 2015. In terms of styling, the vehicle features round headlights, revised grille, LED headlamps and a new front bumper. Finally, the steering has been reworked to meet the 25-foot turning circle requirements for the city's black cabs. Check out more looks and a video overview below.
