At London’s Menswear Week, Chinese designer Xander Zhou sent his models down the runway in attire that showed off a decidedly collegiate aesthetic. They wore full-length wool overcoats and oversized knit sweaters, some appliquéd with faux school crests, along with with draping wide-leg trousers and long wool scarves. Some of the gents carried swaths of fabric draped over their arms for a vaguely formal and scholarly look, while the trainers evoked a contrasting schoolboy charm. The shock of bright colors — vivid royal blues, lavenders and yellows — further shook up the staid, higher learning sensibility. See more from Xander Zhou’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection below.
