With all the recent talks about the second coming of Jesus Shuttlesworth, Miami Heat's Ray Allen finally put the rumor to rest tonight...sort of... For those too young to remember, Jesus Shuttlesworth was the protagonist in Spike Lee's 1998 film, He Got Game. With Ray Allen as Shuttlesworth, actor Denzel Washington as his father, a convicted felon, along with a supporting cast of Milla Jovovich, John Turturro and Rosario Dawson, the film debuted as #1 but only received a total of $21 million in box office receipts. Wanting to continue the Shuttlesworth's narrative, Lee is seriously considering the possibility of He Got Game 2. Allen previously downplayed his role in the possible sequel till recently. His interests are more apparent tonight as well since Allen dressed in a custom "J. Shuttlesworth" Miami Heat jersey and a pair of Air Jordan 13 Retro in White/True Red-Black, the same edition worn by Denzel Washington's character, in the game against the Brooklyn Nets.
