nonnative called their Spring/Summer 2014 collection Subcity Dweller, focusing on garments that are comfortable to wear in an urban environment. Furthermore, olive tones are selected as the key tone for this season, borrowing elements from military wear. As Japan has a rich history in garment making, nonnative tapped into a 1200-year history of natural vegetable dyeing processes in the historic city of Kyoto. Similar to indigo dyes, this natural dye color is unlike any artificial dyes made in factories today. Accenting the collection are several items featuring fabrics from Liberty in London, which complements the whole range. Check out the video and photo lookbook underneath.
