Converse Jack Purcell “Shibori”
“Shibori” is the traditional Japanese method of dip dyeing and twisting fabric to create unique, one of a kind designs, and this timeworn technique is the basis for a new colorway of the Converse Jack Purcell. Featuring a canvas upper adorned with Shibori dyeing to create a subtle tiger stripe pattern, the kicks feature navy blue piping and “obijime” (referring to the rope ties that keep a kimono fastened) laces and pull loop. The unlined sneaker is mounted on a white rubber midsole and carries the signature smile-adorned toe cap. The Jack Purcell “Shibori” is available now at select Converse retailers and online.
