Something egregious occurred Saturday morning when two armed men held up Parisian boutique Colette and made off with loot worth around €600,000 EUR (~$827,000 USD). The crime took place an hour before the trendsetting store was about to open when perpetrators, one armed with an axe and the other with a shotgun, forced seven employees onto the floor. Then in a “smash and grab” routine, the crooks made off with luxury watches, jewelries and other premium goods before getting away on a scooter. Fortunately, no one was hurt during the traumatic event. The robbery was the third of such crime this month in the so called Golden Triangle of Paris, an area full of flagship stores and high-end boutiques. While Parisian law enforcement continues the investigation, the store’s tight knit group of employees and supporters have came together after the ordeal, as shown on this simple drawing by Clo’e Floirat today.
