Online retailer Amazon continues to expand its own proprietary offerings, its reach now extending to the field of Internet video streaming with a device dubbed Amazon Fire TV. Shipping as of today for $99, the Android-driven platform streams 1080P high-def video and connects to your TV via HDMI. It comes with a remote that lets you use voice commands to search for content; an available controller for video game play is priced at $39.99. On the performance front, the device features a quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, plus dual-band, dual-antenna Wi-Fi. According to Amazon, it's three times faster than the latest set-top boxes from Roku and Apple.
