Featuring portions of Steve Jobs’ 2011 presentation to the Cupertino City Council, this new video takes a behind-the-scenes look at the construction of Apple Campus 2, nicknamed the "Spaceship". While workers are still clearing the 175 acres site that once housed Hewlett-Packard, the video centers on the new headquarters’ many new innovations. Arborist David Muffly and his team will repopulate the entire site with plants native to that region of California while Lisa Jackson, VP of Environmental Initiatives at Apple, highlights solar panel array, natural ventilation, vast green space and the ambitious goal of running on 100% renewable energy. Headed by architect Sir Norman Foster and his firm Foster + Partners, the new campus will likely cost upwards of $5 billion with completion set for 2015.
*NOTE* - Not long it went live on YouTube, Apple took the video down. However, the video is still available for viewing after the click thanks to Unoffically Apple.
