To address fans’ insatiable appetite for all things Star Wars and the upcoming Episode: VII sequel, Disney just unveiled who will take part in the new intergalactic saga. In addition to Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, actors Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew will reprise their roles as droids C-3PO, R2-D2, and the Wookiee Chewbacca. New to the Star Wars franchise will be actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow . Already confirmed is Adam Driver from HBO’s Girls, who will be the new villain in the film.
“We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII,” said director J.J. Abrams. “It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again.” Now with pre-production ready, filming of Star Wars: Episode VII will start in a couple weeks at UK’s Pinewood Studios with release date set for December 18th, 2015.
