Two years ago, Dutch firm Huet Brothers unveiled a retro-flavored coupe boasting modern mechanicals, simply named the Huet Brothers Coupe and based on the Mazda MX-5. Seen here, the car was originally scheduled to go on sale this year, but the release date has now been pushed back so that the brothers can used the next-gen Mazda Miata as the platform. Consequently, the finished product will utilize Mazda’s SkyActiv chassis, which sheds 200 lbs versus its predecessor, as well as carbon fiber body panels which will allow the coupe to tip the scales at less than 1,800 lbs. Expect the coupe to be unveiled in 2015.
