BMW has unveiled the second-generation of its X6 sports activity coupe, featuring virtually the same basic shape with larger headlamps (available now with full-LED treatment) and taillamps, similar to those found on the BMW X5 on which this vehicle is based. Engine choices in the U.S. feature the same turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six with 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque, offered in the in the xDrive 35i or in the first rear-wheel-drive X6, the sDrive 35i. Moving up the latter, there’s the xDrive50i, using the same twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 as its predecessor, though power has been increased to 445 hp and 480 lb-ft. All X6 models are fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Look for the 2015 BMW X6 to be officially unveiled at the Moscow Motor Show in August, followed by a U.S. launch in the fall.
