Based out of Edmonton, Canada, Federal Moto is the new kid on the custom motorcycle block, offering one-of-a-kind builds for "the everyday adventurer." Their first project out of the gates represents a very good start: a Norton 850 Commando resto-mod that gives the nod to Western Canadian motorcycle culture. One of the most dramatic modifications was to cut the rear section of the thick center tube common to Commandos, resulting in one clean line running through the frame. Shedding any excess metal yielded a weight reduction of 30 pounds, making the work of the original engine -- aside from an electronic ignition -- a little bit easier.
