With the new Ambit3, Suunto unveils its first ever Bluetooth-enabled watch. The device's primary feature is the ability to link up with the Movescount iOS app, so that the wearer can upload workout data and change watch settings remotely. Additionally, the app turns the GPS watch into what Suunto calls a "multifunctional smart watch," allowing users to receive call and text notifications through the watch's display. Additional new features include a sport-specific heart rate monitor, daily activity tracker and, when cycling, the ability to use watch as the source for the handlebar-mounted phone display. Those functionalities are included in the Sunnto Ambit3 Sport, while a second model, dubbed the Ambit3 Peak, boasts outdoor features like route navigation, barometric pressure, altimeter and compass. Look for the Suunto Ambit3 to release in September.
