From his 84-Lab collaborative line with adidas Originals to the works he’s done with London-based artist Lucas Price on the A.FOUR fashion label, it looks like the #4 is an ever constant theme in Kazuki Kuraishi’s life. Yet, when it came to naming his newest label, The Fourness, the designer swore it was purely coincidental. Instead, the concept derived from psychotherapist Carl Jung’s “Four Functional Types” of the psyche, a theory whereby personality traits can be measure through Feeling, Intuition, Thinking and Sensation, or better known as F.I.T.S. In ways, The Fourness’ debut collection also reflects these four pillars. Preview now in Capsule New York trade show, the new label by Kuraishi will be arriving in retailers worldwide early next year for Spring and Summer 2015.
