Fresh for PF Flyers’s Fall 2014 line-up will be a special collaborative footwear series with designer Todd Snyder. Named as one of the Best New Menswear Designers by GQ, Snyder gained much of his fashion design sensibilities through his years as a outerwear designer at Polo Ralph Lauren and the Director of Menswear for GAP. During his stint at J.Crew as the retailer’s Senior Vice President of Menswear, Snyder helped to introduce several initiative, including its formalwear and collaborative programs.
Now as the creative lead at his namesake brand, Snyder scoured PF Flyers' treasure trove of sales materials, samples and design sketches, some dated back to 1937, in his search for that ideal collaborative silhouette. Finally, both collaborators decided on the Rambler, a model that exemplified both classic styling and contemporary forms. To come as a trio of monochromatic designs in eclipse, olive, or charcoal colorway, each features an unlined satin-suede upper plus a signature PF insert with de-bossed gold foil print for a touch of both luxury and comfort. Styled with flat wax cotton laces, PF’s classic embossed patch and a Todd Snyder branded woven ankle label, the Todd Snyder x PF Flyers Rambler - Suede Pack is available now at select dealers. There will also be an all-leather pack that drops this coming October.
