Canon looks to shake up the compact camera market with their new PowerShot G7 X. Serving as the brand's response to Sony's popular RX100, this new high-end compact offers a 1"-type, 20MP BSI CMOS sensor paired with a 24-100m F/1.8-2.8, 4.2x optical zoom lens, effectively one-upping Sony's 2.9x optic. The G7 also offers a sharp 3-inch touchscreen that flips out up to 180 degrees, which is perfect for those all-important selfies. Canon's latest processor, the DIGIC 6, is inside, which works with WiFi and NFC support to help you transfer your 1080/60p videos smoothly for editing. You will also be getting a 6.5 fps continuous shooting mode,a top sensitivity of ISO 12,800, and plenty of control options up top, including a mode and exposure compensation dial. Set to launch next month, you can buy the new Canon PowerShot G7 for $700.
