It appears the Hexagonal Nike Zoom Air will loom large across Nike's new fleet of footwear silhouettes for Fall 2014. We've seen it on the newly unveiled Nike LeBron 12, and now we see the technology showcased on the upcoming Nike Zoom Hypercross Trainer. According to Nathan VanHook, Nike's Footwear Design Director for Athletic Training, the newly fashioned Hexagonal Zoom Air saves weight while adding flexibility, delivering responsive cushioning where athletes need it the most: at the shoe's forefoot. This placement accommodates the athlete who spends more time pivoting and exploding during intense training exercises, while the lightweight mesh upper is backed with soft, pliable foam for training-specific support and an ideal fit. Finally, synthetic leather overlays provide structure; Dynamic Flywire cables wrap the forefoot for additional lockdown support. The Nike Zoom Hypercross Trainer launches October 10th in an introductory Volt colorway.
