The Weinstein Company has unveiled the official trailer for Tim Burton's eye-popping film, Big Eyes. The drama tells the true story of artist Margaret Keane (the always prolific Amy Adams), who gained success in the '50s and '60s with striking portraits of children with unsettlingly oversized eyes. That is, she would have been successful if her husband, Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz), hadn't taken all the credit for the paintings, arguing that the public wouldn't be interested in buying artwork from a woman. The trailer efficiently outlines the narrative arc, starting with Margaret's development as an artist, the couple's ensuing fame and fortune, and the eventual legal battle waged between husband and wife. Also starring Jason Schwartzman, Krysten Ritter and Terence Stamp, Big Eyes is scheduled to hit theaters on Christmas Day 2014.
