NYC-based menswear label Aimé Leon Dore shares a common vision with Amsterdam-based footwear brand Filling Pieces, one that places a premium on elegant, minimalist design and top-shelf materials. Consequently, the pairing of the American and Dutch makes for something of a natural fit, resulting in a limited run of co-branded sneakers. The Aimé Leon Dore x Filling Pieces Mountain Cuts are handcrafted in Portugal, featuring one pair built with off-white heavy duty canvas, the other carrying a perforated top grain Italian leather in black. Vulcanized rubber soles and waxed cotton laces round out the details. The kicks launch tomorrow, September 26th, at the Amsterdam boutique Baskèts, followed by an online launch through ALD’s online store the following day, September 27th. And beginning Sunday, September 28th, the sneakers will be available at Filling Pieces’ London outpost at BOXPARK, along with the rest of ALD’s 0114 collection, as part of a week-long ALD concept shop.
