Like the Nike Air technology that came before it, the Nike Huarache silhouette helped to redefine the footwear category when introduced back in the early 90s. Now, 23 years later, its “less is more” design approach is found throughout the athletic footwear industry, a testament to Nike’s forward thinking. With even greater relevance today than before, Nike Sportswear will be introducing the Nike Air Trainer Huarache Premium to a new generation of wearers this weekend. With a mid-foot mesh strap for a greater lockdown fit, designers Tinker Hatfield and Eric Avar customized the Nike Air Trainer Huarache Premium specifically with cross-training in mind. However, thanks to its combination of Neoprene sockliner and exoskeletal design, partly inspired by traditional South American sandals and waterski boots, Nike Air Trainer Huarache Premium is just as light if not more than the current Nike footwear offerings.
Retails for $115 USD, the Nike Air Trainer Huarache Premium in White/Dark Emerald-Black-Medium Berry will be available at NikeStore.com, NikeTown, and other Nike affiliated retailers, such as Sneaker Politics, starting tomorrow, September 27th.
