After its debut with New York start-up brand Grungy Gentleman that had fashion media on notice last fall, fashion label HSTRY returns for an encore this season. With hip-hop legend Nas at the helm, HSTRY Clothing directly reflects the Queensbridge MC’s personal take on fashion. A nod to the Golden Era of Rap, the 25-piece collection drew references from the 80s and 90s as well as current styles and trends. With original graphics, the printed tees extoll a feel of nostalgia while the cut-and-sew program highlights a sense of modernity.
With the recruitment of up-and-coming rapper Bishop Nehr, stylist Everard Best and photographer Steve Irby to take part in its Fall 2014 Lookbook, HSTRY also utilized the Queensbridge Housing Project itself as the backdrop. Hence, the campaign not only offers a glimpse of the new collection but Nas’ personal journey from Queensbridge to now. HSTRY Fall 2014 Collection is available now via HSTRY's online store.
