Houston-based tuning house Hennessey Performance has unveiled the 2015 HPE700 Mustang, based on the standard Ford Mustang GT with its 5.0-liter V8. Thanks to a Roots-type supercharger running at 7.25 psi, the vehicle cranks out 717 horsepower and 632 pound-feet of torque, achieving 60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds and a quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. Additional performance upgrades include a high-flow throttle body, upgraded injectors, new fuel pump, stainless steel exhaust and Hennessey's engine management calibration. Customers can also expect carbon fiber pieces for the front splitter, side sills, rear diffuser and spoiler, all of which ride on 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport 2 tires with 15.1-inch Brembo front rotors. Pricing for the package begins at $59,500, including the base 2015 Mustang GT, with a production run limited to 500 units for the 2015 model year.
