HP has unveiled Sprout, a new all-in-one PC that ditches the traditional keyboard-and-mouse setup for the Touch Mat, a second display that’s actually a touch-enabled surface, functioning as a something of a virtual sketchpad. Positioned above the 23-inch LCD is a DLP projector, LED lamp and 14.6 megapixel camera. The projector beams down different images onto the mat, including a keyboard or Sprout-specific applications. Another overhead fixture is Intel’s RealSense 3D camera, which allows the Illuminator to take scans of objects that look more three-dimensional than the typical scanned image. In terms of specs, buyers can expect a machine running Windows 8.1, with an Intel Core i7, 1 TB of storage, NVIDIA GeForce GT 745A graphics and 8GB of RAM.
