Founded by watchmaker Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Émile in 1853, TISSOT has a long tradition of creating cutting-edge horological designs, the most recent being its T-Touch technology, a watch design with tactile/touch screen control. This month, it is looking to further its technical lead with the introduction of the TISSOT T-Touch Expert Solar Watch, the world’s first solar-powered timepiece with touch-screen control. While offering essential applications for the everyday, such as a perpetual calendar, dual alarms, dual time zones, and chronograph function, the watch can also provide altimeter readings plus weather forecasts through barometric measurements. In all, the powerful timepiece is capable of 25 tactile functions, more than any other TISSOT T-Touch model.
With a solar-powered quartz movement, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and tactile sensors, Super-LumiNova indices and hands, all encapsulated within an antimagnetic titanium case with black PVD lamination, the TISSOT T-Touch Expert Solar is scratch-resistant and waterproof up to 10 bar (100 meters/330 feet). Coming with a selection of rubber or titanium strap, leather band and fabric bracelet, the TISSOT T-Touch Expert Solar Watch Series is available now through select TISSOT authorized dealers, such as Bloomingdale’s department store, Jared specialty retail chain, and TISSOT online shop.
