DJ, recording artist and producer James Lavelle founded the London-based record label Mo'Wax in 1992, and under the UNKLE moniker -- Lavelle’s personal recording alias -- he used cross-pollination among varying mediums as an artistic ethos, creating groundbreaking collaboration across music, art and fashion, including the notorious Dunk Hi Pro SB "DUNKLE" in 2004. A decade later, Nike and James Lavelle are at it again, applying the Mo'Wax collage approach to iconic Nike silhouettes. The resulting MA1 Destroyer Jacket is crafted from a classic collegiate leather-and-wool build embellished with flight jacket-style details, including nylon paneling at the shoulders and a bright orange lining finished with a heat-pressed camouflage pattern. Graffiti-like embroidery and removable twill patches add unique design elements, along with signature reverse script of longtime Mo'Wax collaborator Gio Estevez. The jacket is joined by a Nike Blazer, featuring the same textiles on the upper in matching olive and black hues. A twill cap and crewneck tee round out the range. Look for the Nike x Mo'Wax by James Lavelle Capsule Collection to release November 26 at NikeLab stores worldwide and on online.
