New York City takes the crown for free concerts in 2014. Back in September, Jay Z headlined the epic Global Citizen Festival and yesterday Kanye took a turn in performing for a good cause in Times Square for World AIDS Day, which is dedicated to raising awareness for the disease and taking steps to make the world an AIDS-free environment. U2 (sans Bono because he's currently injured) opened the show with Chris Martin on vocals, who did fantastic justice to some of the band's greatest songs. Carrie Underwood (who was also at the Global Citizen Festival – guess she's just super nice) followed with two of her own hits. Then, the man of the hour finally took the stage and powered through five songs, including "Jesus Walks" and "Stronger". U2 then returned to the stage with Bruce Springsteen to close out the show. Check out all the performances in the entire hour-long video below.
