The late 1980’s were jam packed with technological innovations in the sneaker world, as companies looked to push and extend the boundaries of sneaker offerings. K-Swiss, a company founded by two Swiss brothers who were inspired by classic leather ski boots in the 1960’s, was an integral part of this revolution, as they translated sport specific technical innovations into their footwear. The SI-18 International OG featured a series of cushioning systems, as well as the D-R-Cinch lacing system, that brought the laces halfway down the upper in an attempt to better secure the foot. This retro version sports the flags of all four countries that host Grand Slams, as well as the traditional white with red and blue detailing of the K-Swiss brand. Check out more images of these below (as well as the OG box they will come in), and look for these to drop this weekend of December 6th for $130 at K-Swiss as well as at spots like UBIQ.
