Nike Basketball has unveiled the very festive 2014 Christmas Collection featuring the Kobe 9, KD 7 and LeBron 12, each decorated in cheery holiday colors. The trio of sneakers will be worn by each of the respective players during the highly anticipated Christmas Day games. The Kobe 9 “Knit Stocking” is the first ever basketball shoe to utilize Nike’s Flyknit technology and is accented with a marbled outsole, made to look like candy canes. The inner tongue reads “Mamba’s Greetings”. The KD 7 “Egg Nog” sports Flywire technology, Hyperposite construction and Zoom Air cushioning, and pays homage to Durant’s favorite holiday drink, egg nog. Finally, the LeBron 12 “Akron Birch” uses Nike Zoom Air technology and features a birch tree camo pattern inspired by the winter in James’ hometown of Akron, Ohio. The 2014 Nike Basketball Christmas Collection will be available online and in stores starting December 26.
